Six Years by Harlan Coben
5.0

I got pulled into the Harlan Coben world when I was home sick during the new year weekend bingeing Fool Me Once on Netflix. I got absolutely sucked in and binged another one of his series, The Stranger. I googled him and found out that Netflix signed him to a multi-picture deal to adapt a bunch of his books. I saw all the other adaptations they've already done but I was also curious about all the books he's written. I went onto Libby and thank goodness a lot of his books are readily available and/or don't have super long wait times.

I decided on Six Years as my first book of his to read and totally loved it! I pretty much read the entire thing in one sitting on a Sunday, couldn't put it down. I still consider myself a novice in the thriller/mystery/suspense genre but THIS was exactly what I've been hoping for when I jumped into the genre last year. I've read a few and with the exception of John Marrs (who is more sci-fi thriller, a sub-genre) I had never really been totally satisfied with what I was reading like others seemed to be in the genre. But this FULLY satiated everything I wanted! It was super accessible, nothing overly complicated, no unnecessary characters, and to the point! It jumped right into the mystery and kept things moving along. Completely loved this book and will certainly be reading many many many more of Harlan Coben's books! I'm so glad I found him!
