No strong representation of diverse characters or meaningful identities.

Overall: 3-stars

Contagion was so funny. I laughed my way through the novel; Milo has a talent for writing hilarious content from the Hero's perspective while making it obvious to the reader (but not the Hero) what the Heroine is thinking despite not having her perspective.

I really enjoyed the novel and found the Heroine's handling of the Hero also so funny. Despite the Hero being quite beta on his planet, he's (or at least looks like) an apex planet on this human planet... and the Heroine took advantage of that to ensure their survival.

However, I could not get over how bug-like the Hero's appearance was. Blah, I do not like bugs. So, 3-stars.
