Contender for my book of the year(2024)! Leslye Penelope is an excellent writer and story teller. I was engaged and had a great time reading this book. Can't wait to read the rest of her catalogue and more about the Harlem Renaissance. 

I usually skip it, but I impore you to read the Author's Note.
