This book is quite the mindfuck. At first you think you're reading a typical story of a man who loses his shit and kills his wife. But then about halfway through there's a shift in tone and suddenly the novel becomes a whole lot deeper and creepier. I couldn't put it down, and in fact was a little upset by the abrupt ending, although I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised.
