I enjoyed this, it was well-paced and easy to read. It just didn’t feel too new. It was like Weekend at Bernie’s (moving around a dead body) meets Yellowface (minus racism and cultural appropriation, but the tension of an author writing a story they shouldn’t) meets The Tell-Tale Heart (narrator descending into madness and paranoia due to guilt). I was also disappointed in the ending a bit, but overall a fine read.
