Paperbacks from Hell: The Twisted History of '70s and '80s Horror Fiction by Grady Hendrix
5.0
Extremely funny and a very smooth read!
I love this kind of book, like Nightmare Movies or Danse Macabre, especially when they shine a light on gems I'll have to check out. I used to love looking at all the garish horror covers in bookstores, knowing that I probably couldn't buy most of them because my mum would refuse to pay - she had no problem with me reading Stephen King, though? I guess reputation counts for a lot - she did once warn me that I was reading a lot of 'pulp' and should broaden my interests.
NOW I CAN READ ALL THE DELICIOUS CHEAP TRASH I WANT, IT'S NOT A PHASE MOM
