The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino
4.25
mysterious sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This book is hard to review. I have emotions I barely feel when reading crime or thriller books, but Higashino managed to hit my feels, despite the rather matter-of-fact vibe of the book (which tends to be a bit boring in some chapters). The story is one of those you simply cannot predict when you start reading, and in the middle of it you think you have figured it out, but then there are little twists after little twists and the end is yet another little twist. And left me hanging.
