The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster

4.0

A world in which everyone lives in isolation. Where no one touches each other or sees each other in person. Where "air ships" roam the skies with very few passengers. Where people attend virtual lectures. Where food, music, and books are available at the touch of the button. This book written in 1909 sure sounds a lot like the world I find myself in right now. What an interesting read during this pandemic.

Made me want to throw all my internet connected things into the ocean and move to a cabin in the woods.
