That Unexpected Kiss
by Tamara Ferguson
That Unexpected Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is the 2nd book in the Kissed By Fate series, the first being That Unforgettable Kiss. Although they are both part of the series they can be read as standalones. I had read the first book and loved that I got to see some familiar characters make an appearance.
Dylan Nash is an FBI agent but is working as a game warden in the town of Chrystal Rock undercover. Here he meets special education teacher Julie Thompson and there is an instant attraction between them. The problem for Dylan is that Julie lives in another state and is only home visiting family. The problem for Julie is that Dylan is dating her best friend Kate.
What Julie doesn’t know is that Dylan is not actually dating Kate, they are just good friends who pretend they are dating as Kate works in a male dominated job and doesn’t want the attention of other men, so lets them believe that she’s in a relationship.
When Julie is offered a job back home she jumps at the chance. When she learns that Dylan and Kate are not together, Julie and Dylan start a relationship. But the path to true love never runs smooth. The undercover job that Dylan is working on is related to the disappearance of Julie’s mother many years ago.
Julie is in danger. Can Dylan solve the case and will he and Julie have a Happily Ever After?
I really loved this book. Just like the first book in the series it had me hooked from start to finish.
