Audiobook Version: I love Neil Hellegers and anything he reads is better because of him. That said I think this series is fun and I like aspects of it.
The part I got really tired of is what an idiot the MC is and everyone around hime loves to tell him all thew time. It's also sort of a base building book and that got old too.
