I do not understand how this book is not more popular. Absolutely loved it, like a warm cup of tea for the soul.

It had good inclusions of;

  • cozy fantasy
  • Grumpy/sunshine
  • Found family

But it was in no means solely any of the above.

I loved Mika & Jaime’s romance, and thought it was a good sprinkle of spice (not overwhelming, just a dash of heat). Likewise I thought both of their backstories worked well to complement each other, and give the other what they needed.

The magic and witchcraft was sweet and enjoyable. The literal embodiment of cozying up with a good book and chai for a midnight read.
