The adventures of Sookie Stackhouse continue, this time with more magical creatures and politics than before. Harris has done a good job with starting with a focal point of Bon Temps, and widinging the magical and geographical scope as she goes throught he series.
Sookie continues her growth as an independent woman, but at the same time creates more tangles in her romantic life. Over all this was a fun and quick read. Unlike other mystery series by this point that maybe a bit repetitive, you still feel like Harris has more to say, and Sookie has more to do and experience. So, like the ones that preceeded it, as soon as I finished this book, I picked up the next one in the series.
