This book was seriously SO much fun to read.
A tender, witty trans regency romance? 🙂↕️immediately yes🙂↕️
Lord Christopher Eden is “a man of unusual make” with even more unusual habits. He prefers to be far away, hidden from the ton in his childhood estate with only his cook and his elderly butler as his companions. That is, until his lawyers state that due to his late father’s will, he must marry and soon if he is to inherit his family’s estate and fortune. Christopher can’t imagine a worse fate, since he has no attraction to women, and it would be a loveless marriage. He is also now being forced to move to London and hire the expected, “suitable” staff for courting season….. and this is when he meets his new hire James Harding… a tall, distractingly handsome, rigidly traditional valet.
the forced proximity truly fuels their sexual tension throughout this book.. and the most tender slow burn romance blooms between these two and it is just so good. 🤌
I think this is one of my favorite historical romance novels I have ever read
Thank you so much penguin random house & vintage for the ARC!! 🫶
