They Do It with Mirrors by Agatha Christie

3.0

One of the only books where I knew the murderer the minute it was introduced. This occurrence is rare but expected in this particular novel of Agatha.

The main theme of They Do It With Mirrors is trickery along with some wickedness. However, the trick is easy to catch and wickedness doesn't haunt.

The characters aren't particularly interesting either. They are in fact plain despite their various fixations. This is a troublesome point of the novel as plain shouldn't be the word coming to the reader's mind when the setup is at an estate turned into a juvenile home.

But but but it is still an enjoyable book. Much more so than some of Christie's others that require wild imagination to digest.

To sum it up, I can say that this is one of the more realistic crime stories in Agatha's collection and another darling tale including Miss Marple.
