Be My Brayshaw
by Meagan Brandy
First things first, I LOVED Victoria. She was amazing and so kind and selfless and just so ready to give everything up for those she cared about.
I loved her attitude and the way she was ready to fight for her place in the Brayshaw boy’s group. Her relationship with Raven was amazing and I loved that every one of her actions were for the good of those around her.
From the first book, I’d been so excited to read about Captain and see how amazing he’d be as a dad and how loving and supportive he’d be of his love interest. That being said, I was very disappointed..
He out Victoria through so much and honestly she deserved so much better. I’m such a romantic and usually am pretty forgiving after some groveling and a little begging for forgiveness - but Captain was just horrible to Victoria and I kind of wished she’d just dump him and leave.
He literally cheated on her and went back to his daughter’s mom for no other reason than because she’s the mom?? Victoria was way more of a mother figure and it was crazy that he barely even had to ask for forgiveness after cheating and treating Victoria like trash throughout the entire book.
Ahh I wished Captain would’ve been different because I had such high hopes and this book had so much potential (I loved all the scenes with Captain’s baby girl and Royce and Maddox.. just so cute!) and her relationship with Victoria was everything.. their little eskimo kisses and their “so much” phrases were so cute and I was obsessed... there were a lot of great things in the book but Captain just ruined it all for me.
After seeing how selfless Victoria was and how she literally helped out the boys so much without them ever knowing about it and SHE was the one that let Captain know that he even had a daughter in the first place AFTER she convinced the baby momma not to have an abortion without even telling Captain about and then offered her money and to completely take care of a total stranger’s newborn baby.. ah she was just such an amazing girl and again, so selfless- so for her to be treated so poorly was horrible to read. She deserved so much better
