This brought the same energy as the first one! I really liked this especially the full cast narration (except for Tiyung idk what is going on but there’s weird pauses and pacing was so bad it was distracting)! Much more world building and war related politicking than the first couple books. I loved learning more about the dragon lord and relics and the lore from various lands. I might be wrong but I feel like Aeri started pronouncing her name differently halfway through the book. I wanted to visit the tree archive. The ending broke my heart a little, but it’s called shattered souls soooo.
