dang, what an all-over wholesome read.
I usually don't like these juvenile kinds of stories, but the issues brought up here were incredibly important and I loved the own voices aspect for this main character of color.
The points of conflict tho were SO FRUSTRATING LMAO. It made me tear out my hair because it was so dumb and pointless. It could have been resolved much earlier OR evolved. I felt much annoyance and disbelief throughout this book but I guess that was fun in its own way. Otherwise, solid contemporary.
