Take the trigger warnings VERY seriously. The first half of this book is extremely difficult to read. Addie has been kidnapped to be trafficked and there are some very violent rape and torture scenes.
The second half of the book focuses on her "taking back her power" and seeking revenge. During this half of the book, they set out to take revenge on everyone involved in Addie's kidnapping and there are a lot of gory and violent scenes. There are also a lot of graphic rough sex scenes (ex. She is strapped to a tree by a belt around her neck). A lot of this was just so far beyond believable (ex. Now she has a knife kink?).
I feel like this was way too long, probably could have been like 200 pages shorter. I think she tried to show the realities of sex trafficking, but it got to the point where it seemed that many of these scenes were added for shock value. In the last 20-30% of the book, it seemed like she was throwing in a bunch of pointless scenes to drag out the ending. I liked that she brought back Sibby!
