Leviathan Falls by James S.A. Corey
5.0
Now I've finished it idk what I'm gonna do without my emotional support 18-book, 5529 page sci-fi space opera anymore.
Joking aside, this book is a little tricky to review because what I'm really reviewing is the entire Expanse series. There were fantastic parts, and there were "meh" parts, but I've no qualms about saying this is my favourite sci-fi series out there.
I picked up the books after watching the TV show and for the longest time it was my comfort-series. Once the show finished I took a long long break from continuing the books past their screen counterparts. I figured the showrunners made a decision about where to end it for a reason and I trusted that Turns out I was super wrong, the final few books of the series were some of my favourites and I'm glad I kept going.
Having finished the audio book and the TV show (many times over) I truly don't know if another space opera will catch my attention in the same way. We'll see.
