Where do I even begin?! The Priory of the Orange Tree is a beautifully rich and carefully crafted fantasy story that follows some of the most memorable characters I’ve ever met as they come together to defeat a shared evil.

I went into this knowing absolutely nothing except that there were dragons, magic, and queer characters and I think that’s the best way to read this! Anything else will be too spoiler-y, IMO. The world building is handled with so much care and isn’t overwhelming, like other high fantasy series. It makes a lot of sense and there are enough hints dropped in order for additional stories in the universe to happen. I felt like I could’ve stepped into the pages and fit in the respective societies of the West, East, and South.

My biggest qualm is with the ending because it felt a little too…easy? Maybe that’s because I’m used to reading GOT and novels where every character is fair game (iykyk) and the ending felt so lightning fast compared to the rest of the story.

EITHER WAY - I absolutely LOVED this novel: the story, the world building, and the characters!!!! I would do anything for pretty much all of these characters 🥺❤️‍🔥

Can’t wait to read A Day of Fallen Night!!!
