A History Lover's Guide to Bar Harbor by Brian Armstrong, Deborah M. Dyer Curator BHHS

slow-paced

2.5

I don't want to be too grouchy about this, as it's clearly a labor of love for the author and he did do a pretty good job. But, truly, this is not a history of Bar Harbor so much as it's a history of the author's family in Bar Harbor. More specifically, his grandfather, around whom the vast majority of these stories revolve. I think there was more to talk about than was covered here, but this is a decent addition to the local history options.
