Vampire Knight, Vol. 1 by Matsuri Hino

5.0

Fantastic book.
Sadly like most books I read, I saw the Vampire Knight tv show first. Honestly, it was Vampire Knight that made me LOVE Anime. 2 weeks ago, HATED ANIME. Saw the show, NOW I'M OBSESSED! Like all tv shows, I get sad and mad that if ends, and I do research. Found out the show was based off of this Magna/Graphic Novel. I found out the tv show didn't do episodes off of all the books, and that the ending in the show wasn't the actual ending and that I would have to read the books to know the real ending. Even if they did the episodes for every book, I still would've read these Magna's. This only made me want to read them more.

Got the books yesterday at the library, and Vampire knight #1 was my 2nd Magna I've read. I currently finished my first Magna earlier that day. So I got used to reading backwards and left to right.

Even if I didn't see the tv show, as a reader, the author did an excellent job explaining the world and story if Cross Academy, and the world of Vampires and Humans co existing here. The book was an excellent read. The Character's personality, looks, and the setting was very well told. I live how he constantly has Yuki explaining things to the audience.

NO SPOILERS! But there Defiantly is a cliff hanger, and this book will have u leaning off your chair at the end of every chapter. I know some Anime has bad stuff, and unless u count blood bad, I say this is Defiantly appropriate for young readers, as young as 8.

I will have to say I'm used to reading books that have many differences than the tv show based off the books, and I was very surprised and happy to know that the tv showed actually followed the Magna books! Like, that was really surprising! The book has wonderful art, and highly recommend reading. Also Highly recommend watching the tv show after the books. Their both amazing and bring the World of Vampire Knight out in amazing ways.

5 Stars Highly recommended for 8+ LOVE this book, and am exited to read the others in the series (I am currently reading book 3 as I wrote this review.) and hope you will also pick up this book, even if your not fond of Anime, cause this story made me Love Anime!
