I am not sure what it was about this book, but it was ok. It didn't hold my interest for some reason. That in itself was shocking because I have been a long time reader of Nana Malone, and have always been riveted by her books.
This one was ok. I didn't feel any overwhelming connection between Marcus and Lyra. No real chemistry, no special tension, nothing. I will read the next book because I am interested in finding out if the mole is the person I think it might be.
The cliffhanger didn't leave me on the edge of my seat like it usually does. I would recommend you read this book and judge for yourself.
