I loved this book, the world building and characters and politics were all wonderfully delightful to read. I've heard complaints that the world building is not realistic - however as much as there are oddities about the technology within the books if you go in thinking of the book as the fantasy novel it is where anything is possible it's not so ludicrous as things may appear
