This was one long book, however I got through it.
I still love Ganaldon's writing style, it's not too dense and yet the facts are well-researched (with some exceptions, but it is fiction after all), the domestic scenes are extremely cosy. Over the course of reading Ourlander series, I have grown fond of characters too.
BUT I also believe that plot has exhausted itself. How much drama can one family handle?
