This is the second book in a series and I enjoyed it a lot but I also really hated a revealed theme that has made me pause finishing the series, though I will eventually come back to it. See the CWs for detail on that.
Other than that though this book continues with the delicious sort of dark academia vibes and found family elements that really draw me in. I appreciate that it takes itself so seriously because it makes for good melodrama. The old religion elements are especially captivating.
