I heard so many good things about this series. I liked the concept, but the book was soooo sloooow. I prefer to read over listening to audio, but I’ve been remodeling my house so I turned it on. It might be better if I read it, just as it stands I just feel like it had too much extra stuff in there and the main point of the plot kept dragging.
It’s dual POV with Laia and Elias. I like both of these characters mostly. Because these are the perspectives we know at some point these two are going to end up together in some capacity, but halfway thru the book they’ve had few short interactions. I started to get bored and barely listened even when the action finally started.
I think I may try to read it and see if I like it better. If I do I’ll update my review.
