I finished this book in one day. I haven't read a memoir I enjoyed in quite awhile. This one was an "I can't put this down and don't want to," kind of book. I didn't watch iCarly, Sam & Cat, or any of the shows that Jennette McCurdy has been in and I honestly feel like that made this book better for me. I think going into this without having any preconceived notion of who she is truly helped me just absorb her story. McCurdy definitely didn't hold back about her hardships and I feel like it's definitely something that humanizes a celebrity. This was a powerful life story.
