Gunslinger Girl by Lyndsay Ely
2.0

Reasons why I didn’t care for this book:

- too many side characters. I had no idea who was who and it was very hard to keep all of them straight in my mind.
- virtually no world building. The book says this Wild West was the result of the second US Civil War, which sounded like an interesting premise....except I have no idea what that war was about, or how the world was organized after that war ended.
- lackluster romance. A seriously lackluster romance.
- billed as a western, but other than the mc having 2 guns, there was no “Wild West” vibe
- Pity was not a relatable character and seemed flat and fairly naive. Actually, I didn’t care about any of the characters. None of them stood out to me.
- open ended ending (I’m not a fan of those)
- the plot was very slow moving

I was expecting a lot from this book, and it just did not deliver.
