WTF did I just read? AM I high? Was the author high?

The houses are alive and I was strangely ok with that.

Don't let the fact the MC is a cop scare you away, this is NOT a copaganda book.

Our MC is demoted for being bi, murdered by her colleagues and is then brought back to life by an ancient power. Now she can control plants! Nice!

This book has two main POVs, one being the MC and the other her work partner who uses a cane.

I'm still not sure what I just read but I'm glad I did and I can't wait for the series to continue.

FYI this book has lots of Kiwi slang :P
