Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

3.0

So, I just finished reading Gone Girl.
It was a very slow read for me. I felt it was too elaborated. Although it was good, with precise details but I still felt it was somehow predictable in terms of Mystery Genre. The book got a little monochromatic for me to be honest.
I do feel amazed by the main character Amy. Her mind is brilliant and her patience even tops that. She's perfect when it comes to getting her way. You can not find a loophole there.
And the fact that the diary entries (if you have read the book you'll know. I won't give spoilers to others) will blow your mind away. How did she even pull off something like this on her own.
Simple answer would be she's brilliant.
But another answer would be she's a chaos and a psycho. There's no denying that. (Please don't take this as offensive. I couldn't find a better word.) . And I feel worried for her and Nick's child already. This book gives you the chills, and pretty much messes up your mind. But then maybe a lot of mysteries thrillers do.But I just couldn't connect to it very well. ☁ Also another point this book touches is how some people can not express their emotions. But that doesn't mean they do not feel things.
And I am still thinking about the fact that how relationships get messed up and how two individuals can be so toxic for each other.
