I loved Vera!

Sutanto is so good at creating lovable characters who are still flawed but trying their absolute best to do right by those that they love. In this mystery, Vera is a 60 year old lady who finds a dead man in her tea shop. She immediately knows that she must solve this murder because clearly the cops aren't good at their jobs.

We follow as Vera gathers suspects and follows clues while also creating wholesome connections with the victim's family.

I highly recommend this if you like cozy mysteries that focus on Chinese culture but touch on South Asian cultures as well.
