Unholy Trinity: Locke, Nash, & Orla by Garrett Leigh

4.0

I’m always ready to spend some more time with the Rebel Kings MC and Unholy Trinity was a great step back into that world, this time from Locke, Nash and Orla’s POVs.

Nash McGovern is the MC’s VP and spends so much time out on the road protecting his brothers and everyone they love, putting his well-being aside to make sure everyone else is taken care of. He’s still dealing with some childhood trauma surrounding his sexuality but loves Orla and Locke more than he ever thought possible. Orla O’Brian has grown up in the MC, being the middle O’Brian sibling, so she’s more used to the MC antics and politics than almost anyone else. She’s used to being a target and having terrible things said about her, but it’s made her into a strong woman who doesn’t stand by and take things, instead making her voice heard whenever she can. Locke Halliwell is a newer member of the Rebel Kings, but no less ingrained in the MC lifestyle after being a Crow for years before. He doesn’t feel worthy of the love he feels from his kids, his twin brother, his nephews or his MC brothers after all of the crappy life choices he’s made but Locke has one of the biggest hearts of anyone around.

These three already have established chemistry from previous books in this series and I was so happy that this is where Garrett Leigh decided to take things between them. While Nash and Orla’s relationship had already progressed, they both felt a draw toward Locke and wanted him to be a part of their love story too. The moments between them were few and far between with all the MC business and family moments happening in the story, but they made me smile whenever they came up. I’m rooting for the three of them to make it work and to be another Rebel Kings MC relationship that I can’t get enough of.

I found myself wanting more about all of the characters’ backgrounds - we’ve known all of them from being involved in other Rebel Kings MC stories, but there’s still a lot of backstory that makes them who they are today that we don’t really know. This book felt kind of like the precursor to a fully established MMF relationship, putting more focus on Nash and Locke than on Orla and I wanted more the Rebel queen!

But, that being said, I can’t wait to get my hands on Eternally Blessed! That cliffhanger wasn’t unexpected but still has me all kinds of messed up. I need more Rebel Kings ASAP!
