When I started this book, I wasn't sure what to expect. Having finished A Court of Frost and Starlight, I figured there would be something going on between Nesta and Cassian. I didn't know how it would pan out, because a lot of the major plot points from the first two books were resolved in A Court of Wings and Ruin. Having said that, I can confidently say that this is my second favorite book in the series, only second to A Court of Mist and Fury.

Finally being able to understand Nesta and Cassian's perspectives was something I didn't know I needed, but was pleasantly surprised to find myself enthralled with the book, their relationship, and how Nesta grew and adapted throughout. And when we found out
the House was alive
and that
Cassian and Nesta were mates
? Swoon!

The spice? There were times where I had to stop reading just to take a breath, and calm myself. Soooo spicy!

Highly, highly recommend.
