This book ripped me apart and stitched me back together.

And this, he decides, is what a good-bye should be.
Not a period, but an ellipsis, a statement trailing off, until someone is there to pick it up.
It is a door left open.
It is drifting off to sleep.

I loved the writing, the story, the characters. I loved everything about this book. It does start quite slow, up until the 15% mark and the history bits weren’t alway super interesting. So at first I kind of thought I was gonna give it a 4.5/4.75, but I just loved the book as whole.

The writing is at times reflective towards the future about things Addie would learn of see as the years went on, and I really really loved that.
