Certainly enjoyable, some lovely rich description, some nice characters and the odd moment that made me laugh like an idiot to myself. I’m not sure exactly what sets it apart from the likes of Great Expectations - maybe it’s simply that this one’s unfinished. GE also has more of a biographical heart to it perhaps. Either way, I’m going to go on reading Dickens because I enjoy it.
