I gen wanted to like this book bcuz sapphic rep but god even the sapphics couldnt save it. Like this was genuinely so bad from the pacing to the characters to the plot like i just DISLIKED THIS BOOK SO BADD. i mean lets start with the mc sapphire her character is so boring???😭 she was just so bland and i couldnt really get myself to gaf abt her. And then ashes the fmc like girl WHERE WAS SHE??? She’s literally the mcs love interest but we didnt rven see her except at the beginning of the book ONCE and then for the first 50% she was just not there. Moving to the plot THAT SHIT WAS NONEXISTENT i mean how can u make the first half of the book plotless with a character that literally has no depth as were just watching her do her daily royal stuff and then suddenly 60% in theres a plot that came out of NOWHERE the pacing picks up and everything is just… happening😭😭😭. NOW THE ROMANCE OMFG THE ROMANCE WHERE WAS THAT???😭😭😭 bro there was literally nothing like nothing and then BOOM theyre kissing. But icl that romance saved this book for me it boosted it from a 1 star to 2.5 so it was good enough but still shouldve been there from the start and as it progressed cuz it was literally non existent up until the 50% mark. So yeah i really wouldnt recommend this book bcuz TO ME it really lacked in all ways and the only saving grace was the romance 🩷.
