The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
5.0
adventurous emotional mysterious slow-paced

Rereading and annotating this was quite possibly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. The fact that this book still holds up as a 5 ⭐️ read for me after 7 years tells me how amazing it is. The prose in this book is unlike anything else I’ve read before. Erin Morgenstern just has such a way with words, and I feel like it was such a genius decision to sprinkle the second person POV chapters throughout because it really pulls you into the story. The atmosphere, the magic, the whimsy, everything about this is truly so mesmerizing. Marco and Celia will live in my heart always. They will forever be one of my favorite couples to grace the bookish world. I also think this has one of the most perfect endings that I’ve ever read. I cannot recommend this beautiful, stunning story enough. When I die, bury me with this book.
