Little Fires Everywhere

There was a time when my mind was so small that I couldn’t read a book that I hadn’t read before. I was so afraid of taking any sort of risk for fear it would “change me” and I wouldn’t know what to do with the new version of myself.
I started reading this book during that time. And then I stopped. And started again. And then someone else claimed it at the library. So I returned it and forgot about it. Until I found it ~literally~ on the side of the road in a “free box”.
I can’t really find the words to explain why I gave this book five stars. Maybe it’s the characters - Izzy, in particular. Maybe it’s the depth. Maybe it’s the ending. Maybe it’s just all of it, how this book reaches in and grabs you and then leaves you thinking and wondering and kinda wishing you were there.
