Mended with Gold by Lee Welch

4.75

A lovely, wind-swept romance between a photographer and a comic book artist that made me want to pack up, rent a cottage by the sea, and get drunk with my love. Nothing particularly happens (which has left me intrigued to read Lee Welch's much-more-plotty-looking novels) and that really doesn't matter as it's just comforting and soft and bittersweet and everything I was in the mood for.

(Heads up: the only reason I marked this down was the rather abrupt, kind of random sexual dynamic. It doesn't dominate the book, but it’s worth checking the content warnings before reading)
