I adore this trilogy. I read it a couple years ago and am in the process of rereading it right now. I love the characters, the story line, everything. I adore the way Nora Roberts writes and from all that I've read of hers so far this is my favorite of her work. Cian, Moira, Blair, Larkin, Glenna, and Hoyt (and of course King too) have eternally set up shop in my heart. This trilogy is detailed without losing my attention, intense without being gory, has love interest without being too mushy, and is overall exciting and gripping. In the book, the circle comes together, King dies, Hoyt and Glenna get hand fasted, and a couple of little fights/encounters go down.
Graphic: Violence, War, Child death, Alcohol, Misogyny, Torture, Fire/Fire injury, Kidnapping, Sexism, Sexual content, Confinement, Grief, Injury/Injury detail, Death, Genocide, Gore, Death of parent, Blood, and Body horror
