This book walked in and stayed unapologetic the whole way through. The characters were sharp, grown, and had chemistry so thick it basically had its own universe. It wasn’t just a love story, it was a mental sparring match with feelings. The plot was tight and moved with purpose no fluff and definitely no filler.

Christina C. Jones always gives strong pacing, but this one clicked like puzzle pieces, and I never once got bored. The writing was immaculate. Every line had intention, every scene had weight, and the vibe was giving black excellence but make it messy in every form. These characters didn’t just connect, they collided in the best mixture of sexy, confident, and tension. 

Hostile Takeover is the example of a power couple if in book form. It’s everything you want in a romance with teeth. There’s heat, heart, and characters that command attention. Go ahead and add this to your Suits by Day, Smoke by Night stack.
