This book is called “The Never Ending Story” and that’s no lie. It just goes on and on and on.
This kid steals a book from a bookstore and hides out in an attic reading it. The book turns out to be a magic book and his story gets entwined with the plot.
The characters of the book go on a high adventure, however, the adventures are related to you in the form of a list rather than written in a fully descriptive style. For example, the book sort of read like this: First our hero Atreyu did this, and then he did that, and then this other thing. . . There was no showing, only telling. Then, the main character reading the book gets pulled inside the story and that’s when this book really starts to suck. It’s just bad. Save yourself some trouble and watch the movie instead.
