πΊ The Curse that Binds by Laura Thalassa Book review πΊ
π I have been waiting for Memnons and Roxilanas story for so long and it did not dissapoint π
You would love this book if you like:
βοΈ Fated Mates
βοΈ Prequels (how they met and fell in love)
βοΈ Witches and Sorcerers
βοΈ Curses
My final rating is 5βοΈ
It takes a 4πΆ rating for me (explicit scenes, a lot of teasing and not so vainilla sex. Desire in general)
π
Witnessing Memmons and Roxilanas soft and romantic story unfold after their rocky start in Bewitched was everything.
I love how sweet it was, and wished we could had seen more of their childhoods together. There was room for so many more fun interactions.
About halfway in the book you start to see the signs of the impending doom bound to happen and it broke my heart π
Even if I had already known the ending from the very start (having read Bespelled) it still hurt so much. Specially knowing Memnon is about to make her life worse believing she is the reason of his curse and not his salvation.
If you are new to this series (even if you probably should not be reading this) I will still recommend to read in publication order rather than after the first book when it was meant to be published because it is the more heartbreaking to learn the end of their first life together in Bespelled.
Reading this prequel has inspired me to reread the series, and I cannot wait to see its conclusion on the third and final book.
