This book is so fun, even on a second reread. It's quick paced, funny, tense and you feel as if you are there with Geralt as he navigates the complex political, magical, and societal aspects of the world.

Geralt is one of my most favourite protagonists ever. His struggles are so interesting to read, he's far from bland, and he feels very real - even though he is a witcher, and therefore, not human.

This book is one of my comfort books and I think I will always love it no matter how many times I read it.
