I stopped this series while reading Sorrow and Starlight dor a whole year and honestly, I regret stopping. I felt a bit out of touch with the world at first, but I got back into it pretty quickly.
I’ve always loved this series. It’s chaotic and fun, and I really enjoyed getting so many povs (even if it got a bit much toward the end). But tbh the ending felt kind of rushed after so much stretching. Clyde was built up as this unkillable force, and then he just… died? That easy? It didn’t feel earned.
And there were loose ends like Tharix had so much potential, and I was waiting for some kind of closure for him. Same with Lyra I kept expecting her to mean something, especially after Clyde, and everyone hinted at it, but nothing really came of it.
I still had fun reading it and I’m glad I finished, but the ending didn’t hit as hard as I hoped.
