The Darwinian Revolution: Science Red in Tooth and Claw by Michael Ruse

informative reflective medium-paced

4.5

I read this book for a history of science course on Darwin. I loved the author's approach to sharing personal information from the history; in nonfiction as in fiction, I tend to connect to character-focused narratives which Ruse delivers here. I also appreciated that he left no information assumed to the reader. He gave brief explanations of any and all historical events and cultural circumstances that he mentions in the book rather than leaving me, a non-history academic, scratching my head.
