I ate this up.
This is my second Palace of Rogues read, having started with 7 after it was recommended. I don't personally feel like I've missed out on any previous novels this way, because I've read so much from this genre and have the ability to fill in the gaps with context, but ymmv.
I liked Daphne and Lorcan enough to overlook the insta-lovey nature of their relationship. I do wish we'd had more time with the two of them. It felt like half the book were asides about Angelique and Delilah and their husbands. I know some folks appreciated getting to see the continue development of their relationships after their respective novels, but I'll be honest, I wasn't there for them, and I wasn't super interested. But then again, I was pretty preoccupied with Lorcan (and can you blame me) and I haven't actually read Angelique or Delilah's books, so.. there's some bias there.
With that being said, I am living for moments from Dot's perspective, I just adore her.
