The literary equivalent of reading funny notes from your high school bff. Light goodhearted entertainment. The part about dieting as a hobby cracked me up - hilarious, and true. Mostly I grew to really like Mindy Kaling through the course of reading this memoir and I learned a little bit about tv writing. My only beef is towards the end I started to get exhausted with her description of herself as chubby and her stories about weight loss struggles. Girl, you are an admitted size 8, yes that is bigger than the size zero actresses that populate LA, but I don't consider that to be particularly chubby.
