This was okay. Not entirely a fan of the narrative voice. It’s almost snobby? Idk. Hard to shake that this was a reflection looking to past vignettes from late 30s/early 40s(?), but has that petty childish/teen condescension that’s just not fitting. Like the narrative is trying to one-up the reader.
